Greg Anderson co-founded CERES in 2017 with his partner and 1992 classmate from West Point, Charlie Uchill, as an off shoot of CoolMellon. Their mission was to find creative financing alternatives coming out of the lending crisis of the late 2000’s. The need for cannabis banking opportunities and the growth of blockchain solutions coincided with their crowdfunding experiments in real estate lending. Out of these convergences, Ceres was formed.
He credits the Army for instilling a sense of responsibility at a young age and his experiences in multiple real estate businesses with the drive needed to succeed in the start-up environment. He loves working at CERES because he is surrounded with driven, entrepreneurs who are excited to solve new problems. Always new chances to grow, learn and experience. There’s never a dull day in a start-up! In his spare time, Greg is a voracious reader and a college football fan. Go Army! Beat Navy!
